While on Staniel Cay, consider staying at Staniel Cay Cottages. Five cottages (three one-bedroom, two two-bedroom) and a two-bedroom guest house are available. The cottages are just across the road from the water, and the guest house is a short distance up the road, with a view of the entire island. The cottages and guest house are owned by John and Bernadette Chamberlain; all units are very clean and all have A/C. The cottages are different colors (brightly painted), and the interiors are particularly interesting. The interior walls of Atlantica, for example, are alive with fish and mermaids in an underwater scene. Bernadette is the artist. John is a pilot and can be chartered to take you practically anywhere in the Bahamas. Golf carts are also available for rental, and if there is anything that John and Bernadette cannot provide directly, they can arrange it with someone else on the island. I have stayed with them on many occassions and flown many times with John. Highly recommended!
