Caribbean and the Bahamas
The Bahamas and the Caribbean offer wonderful opportunities for beach combing, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, and just communing with nature in a tropical environment, resplendent with a warm ocean and lush forests on the higher islands of the Caribbean. A good time to go is in late spring/early summer, after the high season (and high prices) corresponding with winter in the Northern Hemisphere, and the hurricane season when many places may simply shut down. Late autumn can be a wonderful mix of warm water temperatures and cool land temperatures, but the hurricane factor during that time cannot be ignored.
