If you’re looking to go jungle boating, and you know how to kayak, check out Costa Rica Rios. They are an outfitter located in Turrialba. They organize week long kayaking trips that can be either class II-III or III-IV in difficulty, depending on your experience and abilities. (They also have a “week of adventures”, consisting of whitewater rafting, paddling a ducky down an easy river, mountain biking down a volcano, zip-lining through the jungle canopy, etc., which requires little previous experience or skill.) The accommodations and food are very good, and the local guides are top-notch. Highly recommended.
